Seri Jane Neuder, a resident of Live Oak, Texas, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Feb. 13, 2015. Seri was born on Aug. 16, 1949, in Lock Haven, Pa., to the late Benjamin F. and Olive Jane (Hibbler) Harman Jr. Along with her late younger brother, Benjamin F. Harman III, Seri spent her childhood being raised by her parents in North Bend, Pa. and Columbus, Ohio. As a child, Seri enjoyed vacationing with her late Uncle E. F. Makin and Aunt Charlotte A. (Hibbler) Makin in Hyner, Pa., where she spent many summers as child playing with friends and cousins. Along with her high school sweetheart and husband of 45 years, the late Russell E. Neuder, Seri graduated from Bucktail Area High School in 1967. After graduation, Seri began a career as a parts clerk for Piper Aircraft Corporation in Lock Haven, where she worked for almost 15 years prior to the plant's closing. Russell and Seri were married on Aug. 15, 1968, in Hyner.
Seri and Russell moved from Hyner to Live Oak, Texas, in 1984. Seri enjoyed spending time on her patio with her pet dog Sheba caring for her multitude of plants. In 1996, Seri became a cashier for H.E.B. on Kitty Hawk Road in Universal City. Seri worked at H.E.B. for 18 years until she retired in September 2014.
As an active member of the Windcrest United Methodist Church, Seri was involved in the United Methodist Women's group and LACE team. She liked spending time with fellow members of her women's group, occasionally attending theater and going out to dinner. In her later years, Seri enjoyed relaxing at home and spending time with her grandchildren Amanda and Griffin.
In addition to her two grandchildren, Seri is survived by a daughter Heather Neuder of Schertz, Texas; son and daughter-in-law Joel and Sara Neuder of Centennial, Colo.; and a sister-in-law Kathy Harman of Haneyville, Pa.; as well as many cousins, nieces and a nephew.
A Memorial Service for Seri will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, Feb. 27, 2015, at the Windcrest United Methodist Church, 8101 Midcrown Drive, San Antonio, Texas, 78239. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations can be given in memory of Seri to Windcrest United Methodist Church.
Funeral Arrangements are under the direction of Colonial Funeral Home, Universal City, Texas.
