M/Sgt. Tilmon Ellis Hatley, Sr. U.S. Air Force (Retired) passed away on August 19, 2010 at the age of 79 years old. He was born December 24, 1930 in Charlotte, NC to Sam J. and Nellie Ellis (Green) Hatley. He served in the United States Air Force for 23years, was a Vietnam Veteran. Preceded in death by his parents, he is survived by his son, SFC Tilmon E. Hatley Jr. (Retired), and his wife Kathleen of San Antonio, TX; daughter, Darla J. McAllister of Nashville, TN; Brothers, Robert S. Hatley of Charlotte, NC, and Muriel G. Hatley and his wife Peggy of Vacaville, CA; Grandsons, CW02 William E. Hatley and his wife Jamie of Round Rock, Tx, Dustin W. Fisher of Norcross, GA, and SPC Brendan L. McAllister, Camp Ederie-Vicenza, Italy (Currently Serving in Afghanistan); Granddaughter, Sarah Hatley Van Dyke, her husband Lt. Cdr. Eric Van Dyke of Perioa IL (also serving in Afghanistan); 1 Great-Grandson; and 3 Great-Granddaughters. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, September 3, 2010 at the Colonial Funeral Home Chapel, 10:00 A.M. Burial to follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery at 11:30 A.M.
