

Virginia T. Lipscomb “Ginny”, of Windcrest, Texas passed away at home Friday, June 7, 2013 at the rich young age of 96. She was born on June 11, 1916 in Altoona, Pennsylvania to Elmer and Mary Emma (Robinson) Troxell. Ginny loved God, her family and friends-sometimes to a fault. Her home was always an open door for all who entered. She was an avid learner and continued her education taking college classes in sign language, even at age 90. Ginny was also very creative. Painting watercolors and writing plays was just a sampling of her talents. She is preceded in death by her parents; Husband; LTC W.R. “Bill” Lipscomb, USAF, RET. and a brother. She is survived by her Children, Taiyo (Susan) Lipscomb, Lee Lipscomb, Gwen (Noe) Lipscomb Perez; Grand-children, Tara Woodruff Russell, Jade (Jennifer) Woodruff, Angela (Justin) Perez Potter, Marcus Perez, Annette, Jennifer, Alyssa, Jayden Perez, and Jalicia Perez; Great-Grand-children, Brey (Alvin) Woodruff Wilson, Saffron Russell, Triston Woodruff, Rheagan Hathaway, Eric Potter, and Ava Potter; Great-Great Grand-Son, Michael Wilson. A Visitation will be held at Colonial Funeral Home Wednesday, June 12, 2013 from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. A Service of Celebration will be held at Windcrest United Methodist Church Thursday, June 13, 2013 at 10:00 A.M. Interment will follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery. Anyone so desiring may make memorials to the Music Scholarship Fund or to the Children’s Ministries at Windcrest United Methodist Church.
