Aurora Ramos Aragones

Mrs. Aragones was born in Manila, Philippines and resided in Virginia Beach since 1971. She was preceded in death by her husband Juan Azurin Aragones and a brother Ben Ramos. She retired as a nurse’s aide from Children’s Hospital of The King’s Daughters after twenty years of service. She was a member of St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church. She loved raising her grandchildren and great grandchildren, playing cards with her friends and gardening.

Survivors include her mother, Christina Felarca Ramos, three children Cynthia Lawrence and husband Joe, Joyce Aragones and significant other David Knight, Michael Aragones and wife Ginger; seven grandchildren Kristina Winkler and husband Michael, Andrea, Jessica and Marissa Lawrence, Jordan Aragones, Autumn Aragones-Knight and Natalie Aragones, two great grandchildren Aubrie Lawrence and Hayden Winkler; three sisters Paz DeVera, Fely Martinez and Letty Ramos and a brother Johnny Ramos; brother-in-law Al Martinez and a niece Maruja DeVera.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 10, 2013 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Rosewood Kellum Funeral Home.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, January 11, 2013, 12:00 Noon at St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Rosewood Memorial Park.
