Barbara "Bobbie" Fay Parron

Barbara Fay Parron, 93, went home to be with her Lord and Savior peacefully on April 9, 2024. She was born November 23, 1930 to the late James H. and Courtney (Simpson) Layton in Norfolk, Virginia. She is preceded in death by her daughter Sandy and her husband of 67 years, Laurice E. Parron , Jr. Known as Bobbie to her close friends and family, she had a deep love of all things flowers. She loved planting, growing and cultivating flowers, especially roses. She also loved birds. As far as we can remember, she has always had at least one parakeet and recently she had two. She was also generous and quick to shower her family, especially the grandchildren and great grandchildren with gifts as a way to show her affection. She loved us all well and we loved her and will miss her deeply. She is survived by her son, Larry Parron, Sister Charlotte Wright, grandsons Matt (Cary) and Rich (Kelley), eight great grandchildren and seven great great grandchildren. A visitation for Barbara will be held Thursday, April 18, 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Rosewood-Kellum Funeral Home, 601 N Witchduck Rd, Virginia Beach, Virginia 23462. Following the visitation will be a graveside service at 10:00 AM at Rosewood Memorial Park, 631 North Witchduck Road, Virginia Beach, Virginia 23462.
