Bernice Mary Nelson

Bernice Mary Nelson, 97, passed away on Friday, October 1, 2021 in Virginia Beach. Bernice was born in New Hampshire to the late Arthur and Maria Pouliot. Bernice came from a large family, being one of ten children. She is predeceased as well by two previous husbands, Vincent Brunelle and then Dave Nelson; son, Tom Brunelle; as well as her siblings, Fern Pouliot, Joe Pouliot, Raymond Pouliot; George Pouliot, Marcy Coutre and Donald Pouliot.

Bernice prioritized her life for her family and that was her biggest joy. She truly loved her children, grandchildren and family. She was a living testament of the true love of God in her life by example.

Bernice was an awesome interior decorator, she loved shopping, cooking, playing cards and was an antique enthusiast and collector. She was also a long time member of Rock Church. Her family can best describe her as an angel, very beautiful and loving.

Left to cherish her memory are her son, Jim Brunelle (Kathy); daughters, Kathy Hillard (Merv), Chris Miles (Bruce), Sue Wilson, and Robin Adams (Steve); daughter-in-law, Diane Brunelle; brothers, Paul Pouliot, Larry Pouliot and Norman Pouliot; 9 grandchildren, Matthew Adams, Brittany Adams, Mark Brunelle, Kelly Brunelle, Christopher Miles, Wesley Wilson, Brett Hillard, Nathan Provost and Angie Provost; great-great grandchildren, Gabriel, Elijah, Brianna, Kamren, Luke, Leo, Molly, Addy, Makayla, Chloe, Ava, Jack, Ryan, Coleman and Riley; as well as 3 great-great grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm, Monday, October 11, 2021 at Rosewood Memorial Park.
