I'll never forget my visits to Virginia Beach and I'm still grateful for meeting you. I enjoyed your warm and nice personality and felt like being part of your wonderful family.

I am so sorry to hear about the loss of you mother.  I have so many wonderful childhood memories spending time with the Scott family.  Your mom was such a beautiful and generous woman.  I remember her smiling and laughing and always enjoying the company of her family and friends.  Wishing you peace.

First off, my condolences to the entire Scott family and their circle of loved ones. When I first met Bev, I was introduced as "Jean's brother." From that point, she welcomed me with open arms, as family. But I could have been Joe the ragman and she would have made me welcome in her home and in her heart. That was Bev. That's the way she was. Her welcomes were always heartfelt, her joy at seeing you, always genuine, her interest in your well being, always sincere. She was loved and she will be missed.

I am so sorry to hear about your loss. My prayers are with you and your family.

Leslie, Larry and Rachel,

Sorry to hear of the loss of your mother and grandmother.  From what I have read, Leslie has inherited all of her mother's virtues, such as open home, open heart, open arms, open kitchen, open mind and open support.  I am thinking of you in your sadness and grateful that your mother passed on such great values in my friends.

In one life time you meet special people, and for me the passing of Bev and Bud means that these special people, my friends, are gone. It was only a short time that I really new them. But what an impression they left on me.  Bev was a wonderfull person who could turn gloom into joy, I can picture her now with that wonderfull smile and nothing was to much trouble.  Bev has set such a lovely standard for her whole family to follow, she gave wonderful hospitality, great cook,,loving mother,.God bless her and her family. This wonderfull person will be missed, but not forgotten

I am so very fortunate that Bev came to California and befriended me.  She fed me through her love of cooking and nurtured me through her food for thought.  Bev's zest for life was infectious and I am grateful for the precious time we had together.

I remember meeting Mrs. Scott when Maureen and I were still in high school. It was around Christmas and she showed me the most spectacular Christmas holiday display - took up the entire room. It was magic! My thoughts are with the whole family during this sad time.

I never had the pleasure of knowing Mrs. Scott, but with such a wonderful daughter, Kim, she must have been fabulous.  My thoughts and prayers are with the family.

She was such a wonderful and kind person and will be greatly missed.  I think we have known you all forever.   Mom and her are probably sitting drinking coffee and catching up.   She was an awesome cook! She always did have a smile on her face.  God Bless you all

Kim invited me and the tortoises to your beautiful family in 1992 - and Mrs Scott is THE first person I really met in the US - I will never forget my memories which are still very colorful and clear. Your mother lives on in you all - I will never forget how she said - my husband and I started out and we were 2 persons - now we are 36 in our family....and by now, you are even more. Your mother created a loving and accepting type of bonding among you and all the friends of the family - the spirit of which will continue in you and your lives. Bev was an amazing woman.  She was like my second Mom and I loved her. Her frank manner was always appreciated and even though she would frequently speak to me about my language and attitude towards the criminal element I loved her and I will miss her dearly.  She is in a better place now, still asking me to change my attitude:) My heart goes out to her family

Pat, I seems like only yesterday since I met your mother. She was such a vibrant person with a clear joy for life, and ever so proud of her daughter. I know her loss must weigh heavy on you and your family

A warm loving kind and thoughtful mother, friend and woman - I can only think of her with fondness and I know that she is in a better place looking out for her family and loved ones even now.....

I guess it would be about 40 years of memories that I have for Ms. Scott (yes, even now when I am 48 years old I still call her Ms. Scott). As I became an adult, I developed such  a profound respect for her.  She always made me feel a little better about myself when we would see each other. And I saw her often and spoke to her often, eventhough my life had taken me so far away. I will miss her hugs, her smile and her cooking. But I will see her in my dreams, and I will talk with her and I know she will hear me.

Scott Family - I am so sorry for your loss.  Bev was the matriarch of your wonderful family and I know she will be dearly missed.  I pray she will live on through you guys and you will embrace her traditions (especially the cooking part!).
