Born Brenda Joyce Price on May 2, 1945, she grew up at the Virginia Beach oceanfront which led to her lifelong love of the water and where she met her friend of 66 years, Linda Mapstone. Brenda and Linda’s adventures were legendary, and you could find them where the music was playing, and the people were dancing. Their friendship was forever memorialized at their beloved Virginia Beach when their families surprised them with a bench on the Boardwalk at 14th street on Mother’s Day 2016.
Brenda had “cousins by the dozens” and you could count on a lively story when she said, “me and my cousins…”
Left to cherish her precious memory are her devoted husband of 57 years, Ernest “Ernie” Frame, daughters Tammy Frame Amos of Newport, NC, and Jodie Frame Lee (Benjamin Reitz), grandchildren Blaine Ballard, Morgan Lee and Trenton Lee (Courtney Bucko), Adam Bailey, all of Virginia Beach, VA, Alex Amos (Katey) and Great Grandchild Maddy Amos of Charleston, SC. Also survived by her sister Connie Zr and brothers Edward Rountree and Walter Rountree, plus many nephews, nieces, cousins, and a host of others who she considered her children and grandchildren. As a family friend wrote, “She will always be the “granny” to so many people that were fortunate to meet her, only took one time to meet her to feel like her family.”
Donations in her memory can be made to Mission Church Virginia Beach located at 210 S. Witchduck Road, Virginia Beach, VA.
