Camm Boyd

Camm Carrington Boyd, a beloved mother, sister, grandmother and friend, passed away on February 17, 2026, at the age of 78. Camm was a resident of Virginia Beach, Virginia. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edwin “Warren” Boyd and Nancy Clay Boyd.

Born on November 10, 1947 in Charlottesville, Virginia, Camm was a proud lifelong resident of Virginia Beach, Virginia. Camm dedicated many years of her professional life to education, focusing on special education for the Virginia Beach City Public School system. She will be remembered for her kindness, sense of humor, and her love for the outdoors, especially gardening, the beach, ODU football games, and going for walks. Camm never met a stranger and had the intrinsic ability to connect with people through her curiosity about the world around her.

Her passion for life shined through her many hobbies and interests, including voraciously reading stacks of books, diving into a perfect seafood meal, and growing heaping piles of tomatoes in her overflowing garden. Camm was an adventurer, pursuing scuba diving later in life and traveling around the globe to view underwater worlds.

Camm is survived by her children, Jessica Drinks (Tim) and Carrie Bogle (Josh); her sister, Jill Wolf; and her grandchildren, Garrett and Caroline White, Britton and Barrett Bogle, and Emily and Jason Drinks. She will be dearly missed by her nieces and nephew, Stephanie Mallette (Kevin), Kristen Wolf (Mike Marchesani), and Kevin Wolf; a host of loving grandnieces and nephews, along with many special friends who were blessed to know her.

A celebration of life will be held on Friday, February 27, 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Coastal Virginia Unitarian Universalists, 809 S. Military Highway in Virginia Beach, VA.

Camm Carrington Boyd will be forever remembered for her passion for life, her devotion to her friends, family and faith, and the warmth and friendliness she brought into every room she entered. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
