Elizabeth Bilbo Rush

Elizabeth Bilbo Rush, 97, entered peacefully into the arms of her Lord and Savior on February 11, 2023. She was born on June 23, 1925 to the late Alexander and Elizabeth C. Busch in Lynbrook, New York. She is preceded in death by her first husband, Adolph C. Bilbo on November 28, 1989 and her second husband, Henry L. Rush on September 24, 2003.

Elizabeth resided in Suffolk, VA and was an accountant for the federal government for many years. She also worked as an accountant for Don Bilbo Building Construction, finally retiring in 2010.

Those left to cherish her memories include her three sons, Don C. Bilbo, husband of the late Cheryl K. Bilbo, Jon F. Bilbo, husband of Susan J. Bilbo, and Barry G. Bilbo, husband of Diane L. Bilbo, her 7 grandchildren, Joseph Christian Bilbo, Jon K. Bilbo, Catherine Ashley Bilbo, Sarah A. Henkle, Megan S. Slentz, Kristin E. Hahn and Chelsea G. McNeil, and 13 great-grandchildren.

A Celebration of life will be held on Friday, February 24, 2023 at 2:00 PM at Rosewood Kellum Funeral Home, 601 N Witchduck Rd, Virginia Beach, Virginia 23462. The family will receive relatives and friends from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM. Her burial will follow at Rosewood Memorial Park.
