Virginia Beach - Ellen Louise Hansell, 81, passed away Dec. 30, 2015 at her home surrounded by her daughters and husband of 62 years. She was born in Lewiston, Maine on April 23, 1934 to the late Edwin and Velma Donovan. Mrs. Hansell was a devout catholic. She was an avid knitter and enjoyed sharing her gift with her loved ones. She also enjoyed gardening and was a member of the Pembroke Meadows Garden Club.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Emerson L. Hansell Jr.; daughters, Debbie Dunn (Ralph Land), Cathy Cutrell (Paul), Becky Albero (Nick), and Rachel Weaver (Dave); grandchildren, Daniel Dunn (Jill), Brian Dunn, Nicole Albero, Amanda Albero, Callie Cutrell, Peyton Weaver, and Michael Lehr; and great-grandchildren, Sean Dunn, Alexis Dunn, and Khristina Lehr.
The family will receive friends Monday, Jan. 4, 2016 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Rosewood Kellum Funeral Home. A mass will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 5, 2016 at Church of the Holy Family Catholic Church, celebrated by Father Gaudencio Pugat.
