Eloise Ann Fretwell, 87, passed away in Virginia Beach on Saturday, August 18, 2018. Eloise was born in Daytona Beach, FL to the late Al and Ella Bornmann. She worked and retired in the telecommunications industry. She started off working as a switchboard operator and was eventually promoted working with the company’s engineers. She was a devoted member of First Baptist Church of Norfolk for many years. She loved fishing, playing cards and spending time with her family and her church family. She is survived by her most devoted friend and caretaker, Karen Ellis; children, Gary (Sandra), Randy and Phil Fretwell (Louise); brother, Carl (Joyce) Bornmann; sister, Patti Kelley; eight grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
A visitation will be from 6-8pm, Thursday at Rosewood-Kellum Funeral Home. A funeral service will be conducted on Friday, 10am at First Baptist Church in Norfolk.
