Gary Webster, his future wife Gina, and his parents, were among the best friends I made in Tidewater during the last year I was in the Navy (1974).  Gary and Gina were but two of the many fine friends I met in Bayview Baptist Church, in Norfolk, soon after I trusted only in Jesus Christ as my Savior and Lord late in 1973.  It is with a vast and deep regret that I realize my indifference to all of those people, reflected in my failing even to try to keep in touch with any of them in the years since I last saw any of them, in 1975.  May we all be reunited in the Resurrection, by the Lord's grace enjoying our God and each other eternally.

I would like to express my deepest condolences, and those of the Class of 1971 at Cox High School, at the passing of our beloved classmate, Gary. We are planning our 50th Class Reunion in October and I was searching for addresses of lost classmates, and I came upon this tragic news about Gary. He and I shared classes in high school and I found him quick witted and intelligent, but mostly a fine person. He will be missed, and I will surely keep his name and memory alive at the reunion. Please accept our prayers and heartfelt sympathy at the loss of our friend, Gary.

A great friend from Cox High School has passed.  I was in lucky to be Gary's classmate in English and physics classes  at Cox High School.  What a character--I remember laughing out loud with his daily comments.  Later in life he was a  great business customer.   Gary was very considerate, acknowledging  my fathers death some years ago.  I won't forget him.

So sorry to hear about my cousin Gary. We worked together for a bit on Saturdays when we were kids washing cars at his dad‘s gas station. He was always a serious and measured guy. I still remember him talking with the slow deep voice that reminded me so much of his dad. I know he will be missed by his many children and grandchildren. I’m certain that he was a wonderful father and grandfather.

I spent a week with Dan and Celeste in their trailer in Philadelphia when Celeste came home with Gary, a newborn baby.  I went up to take care of Donnie while Celeste convalesced and cared for Gary.  So I knew him from the beginning.  I've always felt a special bond with him.  I am so sorry to hear of his passing.  I didn't see him often but thought of him from from time to time, especially the past two years.  He was always a good person and truly loved the Lord.  We are keeping his family in our prayers during this sad time.  He will always be missed by many.

Gary was one of the nicest guys and one of my best friends. I will miss him deeply.

We are so sorry to hear of the passing of my cousin Gary.  I have many wonderful fun memories of him when we were kids and many talks at the gas station.  He was a very sweet and kind person.   Our thoughts and prayer's are with his family at this time of loss.

We are so sorry for the loss of Gary.  I was always fond of him as a cousin growing up.  Praise God he is with Jesus!  Your family is in our prayers.

I’m so sad. I never met Gary but we chatted almost every day for the past 3 years. We helped guide each other through our time caregiving and life’s trials. He was more than a friend to me and my life will have such a special place in my memory. Goodbye sweet friend.
