Gladys H. Sumpter

Mrs. Sumpter is survived by 3 daughters Marie Roberts of Roanoke, Della Fortney of VA Beach, & Rosemary Underwood of Minnesota, one son Larry Sumpter Sr. and his wife Earline of Norfolk; eleven grandchildren Larry Sumpter, Jr., Faith Kalista, Caroline Holt, Timothy Fortney, Matthew Jason Sumpter, Nicholas Sumpter, Danny Walker, Jr., David Walker, Debbie Motley, Donna Motley, and Paula Sumpter, twelve great grandchildren Mariah M. Sumpter, Joshua W. Sumpter, Gaberial L. Sumpter, Casey Rose Kalista, Matthew Edward Kalista, Bernadette Fortney, Timothy Matthew Owens and Travon Owens, and two great great grandchildren Starlena Renee Fortney and Abagail Roselynn Fortney. She was preceded in death by a son Eddie Sumpter, Jr. and a daughter Anna Laura.

The family will receive friends on Friday, January 25, 2013 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Rosewood Kellum Funeral Home where a celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, January 26, 2013, 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
