

Harold was born on August 26, 1931 in Smyth County Virginia to the late Fred & Ola Bullins Harrington. Along with his parents, he is also preceded in death by three brothers, Garland Harrington, Ray Harrington and Willis Harrington; and an infant sister Rosemary.
Harold served his country in the U.S. Army from October 26, 1951 to July 29, 1953 during the Korean War. He served in the 8th Army, HQ CO 578th Engineers, Battalion ‘C’ with the rank of Sargent. Harold Received the Korean Service Medal with 2 Bronze Stars and the UN service medal.
Harold worked for many years as a carpenter building mobile homes and later as a maintenance technician for W.H.H. Trice & Co., Crown Point Townhomes in Norfolk Va.
Harold was an avid fisherman through most of his life and received several Virginia State Citations over the years. Harold was a Christian man that loved the Lord, saved during the mid 1970’s and attended Faith Baptist Church in Chesapeake Va. and was faithful to give his testimony to most people that he met.
He was a devoted husband to his wife Nancy whom he loved very much.
He is survived by his wife of 41 years Nancy Harrington of Norfolk Va., Sister Margaret Bell of Chesapeake, Brother Jimmy and Linda Harrington of Marion Va., Morgan and Beth Glass of Chesapeake Virginia. (Morgan and Beth were Harold and Nancy’s care takers, Morgan was the son that Harold never had) and several nieces and nephews.
A Graveside service will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday, June 24, 2025 at Rosewood Memorial Park, 631 N. Witchduck Rd in Virginia Beach, VA.
