Jack Lee Waller of Chesapeake, VA passed away peacefully Wednesday morning, January 8, 2020. He was born December 13, 1930 in Peoria, IL to the late George S. Waller and Ora Millinger Waller. He joined the Navy in June of 1949 and stationed in Norfolk, VA. He served on the USS Midway during the Korean War and other ships during his enlistment. In 1953 he was honorably discharged from the Navy. He became a Federal Fire Fighter where he served at Norfolk Naval Base and Little Creek Amphibious Base for numerous years. He retired after being severely injured during an on the job accident.

He is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Barbara Brown Waller; son, Jeffrey L. Waller and granddaughter, Skyler Fernandez-Waller of Virginia Beach, VA; daughter, Jennifer W. Bostic of Stuarts Draft, VA; granddaughter, Megan Bostic Wagner, great-grandson, Ringo Wagner of Richmond, VA; grandsons, Jordan Bostic (wife, Rachel) of Washington, D.C. and Tristan Bostic of Chesapeake, VA; former son-in-law, Deaune Bostic of Chesapeake, VA; 3 step-sons and their families of Columbus, OH, Richard Kincaid (Pamela), Shawn Kincaid, Anthony Kincaid (Tonja); 5 step-grandchildren, Lyndsay, Taylor, Ashley, Haley and Hayden Kincaid (wife, Natalie); 3 step great-grandchildren, Mariah, Tysen, Elijah.

He is also survived by his 3 brothers, George F. Waller, (wife, Darlene-deceased), Gene E. Waller, (wife, Donna-deceased), Jerry O. Waller, (wife, Connie) all of Peoria, IL.

Jack was predeceased by his former wife, Shirley Warren Martin, father-in-law, Osburn B. Brown and mother-in-law, Donnie V. Brown.

The family wishes to thank Vangie and the wonderful staff at Angels Touch Home Care. We would also like to thank Lilly and the fantastic staff at Medi Home Health & Hospice. We appreciate their devoted and respectful care of our ‘Loved One’ over the past year.

A memorial service with reception to follow will be at 2:00 PM on Saturday, January 25th at Rosewood-Kellum Funeral Home, 601 N. Witchduck Rd, Virginia Beach, VA 23462. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Alzheimer’s Association, Southeastern Virginia Chapter, 6350 Center Dr. Suite 102, Norfolk, VA, 23502 or a charity of your choice. Jeff,
So sorry for your loss. Your dad did truly leave a memory for all of us that ever knew him. He was Happy most of all and had a great sense of humor that was then appreciated and now will never be forgotten. Loved Jack Waller😇

Jeff and Jennifer, I remember you both when your mom worked at GEICO. Then I saw you again at her funeral in 2006 and you were all grown up. When I knew your dad, he was a happy man and he made us laugh when he came to the office. May memories of good times with him bring much comfort to you and your families, and may God's grace provide strength and peace during this difficult time. With sincere sympathy. . . Marny
