Jim was born in Burnt Hills, NY and was the son of Frank (deceased) and Frances Bosher. He attended BH-BL (class of ’88) and spent many happy childhood days with his siblings and friends.
Jim moved to Virginia Beach, VA when he was 18 and never looked back. There he began his career as an auto mechanic and “fixer of all things mechanical”. He worked at several local shops until finally working for his brother Joe at Little Creek Service Center. He also did many side jobs and could fix anything that was put in front of him.
Jim was a big kid who loved his bigger toys. He was an avid BMX and dirt bike rider. He taught many how to ride and was always up for a road trip or an adventure. He had a love for water sports.
He is survived by his son, Austin Bosher and his fiancée Lauren Camper, both of Virginia Beach, VA. He also leaves behind his long-time girlfriend Jennifer Tomlinson and her son Gabe. Together they all made up the “family” that Jim treasured.
Jim is also survived by his mother Frances Bosher (Burnt Hills, NY); his sister, Mary Anne Bosher (Durham, NC), sister Karen Terbush and her husband Bruce (Ballston Spa, NY), sister Nancy Taylor and her husband Brownie (Newbury, MA), sister Barbara Serridge and her husband Kevin (Washington, NJ), brother Joseph Bosher (Virginia Beach, VA) and sister Jennifer Bosher (Saratoga, NY). He is also survived by many nephews and nieces.
Jim also had numerous friends who were with him to the end- (Johnny, Greg, Paul, Terri, Jeannie, Tony and too many to mention) all who surrounded and supported him throughout his long courageous battle. The unbelievable outpouring of love and devotion to Jim is a testament to the person that he was and the legacy that he has left behind. He also had the most wonderful smile that will never be forgotten.
