JoAnne Marie Goodman

JoAnne Marie Goodman, 49, passed away peacefully in the comfort of her home December 31, 2009. Mrs. Goodman was born November 30, 1960 in Ogdensburg, New York. She was employed at Riverpointe Rehab as a Dietary Aid. JoAnne will always be remembered for her unequaled dedication as a wife, mother, and as then as a good friend. It is said that one can tell a lot about a person by those that they hold close and she was blessed throughout her life with an extraordinary family and group of friends who were always there to support her. She was always happiest when she was amongst them, preferably cooking, playing bingo and being with the children. Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband of 25 years, Joseph Goodman; two daughters, Marjorie and Rose Goodman; mother, Eleanor Ibey; brother, Carl Ibey, Jr.; two sisters, Alice Larue and Barbara Thurston; and three godchildren: Lucas, Piper, and Ethan VanNostrand She is preceded in death by her father, Carl Ibey, Sr. The family will receive friends from 7:00-9:00 pm, Wednesday, January 6, 2010 at Rosewood-Kellum Funeral Home. A celebration of life will be held at 7:00 pm, Thursday, January 7, 2010 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
