He was born October 4, 1921 in Norfolk, VA and retired from the Norfolk Naval Shipyard after thirty years and was one the first Nascar Scoring Officials.
Survivors include his loving wife of seventy-two years, Dorothy "Dot" Moore, three daughters, Dottie Beazley of Portsmouth, Kathy Amos and Jonnie Kay Fabijan both of Virginia Beach; two brothers Al Moore of Chesapeake and Ken Moore of Suffolk; a sister Margie Jamison of Richmond, VA; grandchildren, Stephen Gay of Hampton, Rick Amos of Chesapeake, Allen Fabijan and Jada Fabijan-Box of Virginia Beach; great grandchildren, Sean Salmon of Poquoson, Mariah Gay of Portsmouth, Payton & Nathan Amos of Chespeake, Alliyah & Jonathan Fabijan and Katie & Taylor Box all of Virginia Beach.
The family will receive friends on Monday, June 2, 2014 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Rosewood-Kellum Funeral Home where a Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, June 3, 2:30p.m. Interment will follow at Rosewood Memorial Park.
