Joseph Ralph Bancroft, 75, passed away on May 19, 2022. He was born in Norfolk, VA to the late Acil Bancroft, Sr. and Lucille Hill. Joe was an auto mechanic at Castle Cars for many years. He was a former member of Gateway Freewill Baptist Church where he drove the church bus for over 30 years. When he was younger he was a baseball coach and a Cub Scout Leader. In his spare time he enjoyed playing sports, and walking.
Joe was predeceased by his loving wife of 31 years, Margaret E. Bancroft; 6 brothers; and 3 sisters.
Left to cherish his memory are his son, Doug Bancroft; 2 brothers, Steve Bancroft (Edna) and Jack Bancroft; 2 grandchildren, Nick and Jessie; and 2 great grandchildren, Angelo and Julian.
The family will receive friends from 5-7:00 pm on Tuesday, May 31, 2022 at Rosewood-Kellum Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 am on Wednesday, June 1, 2022 in Rosewood Memorial Park. You may offer condolences at www.kellumfuneralhome.com
