Josephine J. Tole

She is preceded in death by her husband W.B.Tole Jr., her parents, two sisters Santina Casey, Ceclia Kaukas and a brother Lawrence Pirrone.

Left to cherish her memory are five children: Mary Ann Gerhardt and husband Mark of Suffolk, Frances Houston of Colorado Spring CO, Frank Tole and wife Gail of Newport News, David Tole of Chesapeake, Paul Tole and wife Catherine of Raleigh NC. Three sisters Marie Pirrone, Connie Sheehan, and Phyllis Kordas; a brother, T.T. Pirrone; thirteen grandchildren: Bob Wagner, John Wagner, Julie Campbell. Jennifer Schneider, Matthew Tole, Brandon Tole, Christina, Adam, David, Ziare, Isaiah, T.J and Joshua; six great-grandchildren: Nicole, Madisyn, Jill, Cole, Blake, and Morgan,and several nieces and nephews.

Josephine was born and raised in Norfolk, VA and only moved to the Peninsula the last two years of her life to be closer to her devoted children. She loved her family above all else and was affectionately known as "Nanny" to her grandchildren. She never met a stranger and was a loving and giving person to everyone. She will be greatly missed by all.

The family will receive friends from 7:00-9:00 pm, Tuesday, May 3, 2011 at Rosewood-Kellum Funeral Home. A celebration of life will be held at 11:00 am, Wednesday, May 4, 2011 at the funeral home.
