A native of Richmond, Kevin graduated from Virginia Tech with a bachelor's degree in engineering and served in the Army, stationed in Berlin, Germany. He was employed by the city of Virginia Beach Public Schools as a project manager for 15 years and was a member of AOPA
Survivors include his wife, Sonia Bulifant; his daughter, Emily; mother, Jody Preston-Maier; stepmother, Patsy Bulifant; father, Ken Bulifant; brothers, Mark and Shawn Bulifant; sisters, Julie DeLong and Lori Cowan; and grandmother, Grace Midget Ellis.
A memorial service with John Hobbs presiding, will be held at 5 p.m. Saturday in Rosewood-Kellum
Funeral Home, 701 N. Witchduck Road. A reception will follow.
