Larry was born in Wappinger Falls, New York and grew up in nearby Beacon. At the age of 17, he joined the Navy. After a twenty-year military career, he spent the next twenty-five years working in Civil Service.
A fifty-five-year resident of the Tidewater area, Larry had a passion for four things: Faith, Family, Cruising and the game of Golf! A member of the Knights of Columbus, he served as the Grand Knight from 1979-1980. He was also a lifelong member of the Greenbrier CC in Chesapeake.
Larry is survived by his wife Emma of sixty-seven years, his sister Gretchen Stocker (husband Robert), his sons Jeffrey (wife Lynne) and Daniel, six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, January 3rd at 10:00am at the Catholic Church of Saint Mark, 1505 Kempsville Road, Virginia Beach, VA 23464.
A graveside service with Full Military Honors will follow at 2:00pm at the Albert G. Horton Jr Memorial Veterans Cemetery, 5310 Milners Road, Suffolk, VA 23434.
