Dear Helie and Leonard,  I am so sorry to hear of Nardo's passing.  He called me on December 31st and we had a very nice conversation which I shared with Magling when I talked to him that weekend.  Your family has always been very close to our hearts.  My children loved it when we visited Auntie Helie and Uncle Nardo.  They were always impressed with your plants and wondered how it was that you were able to harvest calamansi all year round.  It was a special treat when you cooked lumpia for us.   The girls and Magling and I were always anxious to see what changes you had made in the little "comfort room" off the back door--the seat full of coins, the automatic flushing, the warm seat, etc.  Nardo loved all kinds of gadgets and delighted in showing them off.   Nardo could tell a story like no one else that I know.  Even when he was telling a story in Tagalog, I was often able to follow along and join in the laughter with everyone else.  Leonard, you and LoisMarie are the same age and I recall  that you had some adventures together. Your children are beautiful.  I hope that you will always share your memories with them of how special your Dad was.    We love you.      Pat Familar

So sorry for this difficult time for your family.  Mr Bautista was a regular patient and friend of the family.  I wanted to share that he loved sharing stories of his family. Leonard's adventures and successes. His gardening and appreciation for finer things in life.   I always appreciated the updates.  Most recent years his adoration of his granddaughters was overflowing.  I loved sharing these moments with him. Sending love and peace.

I have known Leo and Helie for many years as their neighbor.  Leo was such a warm soul, always with a smile and likely bringing you some fruit from the garden.   His love and light will be missed. Our deepest condolences to the Bautista family at the loss of their loving husband, father, and grandfather.
