Lydia Kay Gibson

Lydia was born on Tuesday, August 12, 1986 in Norfolk, VA, where she spent her life, with her father reading John 1, as she entered into her journey here.

She is the daughter of Pastor David and Kay Via Gibson.

She is survived by her husband, James Norton; son, Preston Jareb Norton; daughter, Chelsea Wrona; and step-daughters, Alissa Norton and Kayla Lankford. Also surviving her are her siblings: brothers, Shane Bradshaw of Illinios and Nathan Gibson of Norfolk, sisters, Tonya Deal of Portsmouth, Jessica Gibson of Norfolk, Rebecca Gibson of North Carolina, and Kimberly Olsen of Texas, Brandi Gibson of King George, and Sherri Emig of Virginia Beach. Survivors include her nieces and nephews, Jay, Anthony, Missy, Taylor, Alyssa, Arianna, Gabby, Christian, Brianna, and Olivia. Her special cousins and her aunts and uncles, and many special friends.

She was preceded in death by her very special brother, Jareb David Gibson in 2014, and her paternal grandparents, William and Alma Gibson, and her maternal grandparents, Henry and Frances Whitesell Via.

A graveside service will be held privately for the family and officiated by John Howe at Rosewood Memorial Park in Virginia Beach, VA.

Active Pallbearers will be James Norton, Shane Bradshaw, Nathan Gibson, Anthony Nechamer, A.J. Wrona, and Vern Norton.

Honorary Pallbearers will be family attending the services.

The family is accepting visitors at the home of Pastor Gibson and wife Kay, prior to Friday, Oct. 2, 2020.
