Virginia Beach – Mary Annie Dell Whitehead Gordon, 81, passed away on September 4, 2011. She was born in Norfolk to the late James and Sallie Mae Whitehead. She is also predeceased by her husband, Thomas E. Gordon, Sr. and her brother, James W. Whitehead, Jr.
She is survived by four children, Thomas E. Gordon, Jr. (Joanne), Katherine G. Wittmer (Robert), Cynthia G. Whitaker (Robert), and James E. Gordon (Lorie); a sister, Lela W. Bruns (Russell); six grandchildren, Ian Gordon (Carla), John Gordon, Amy C. Difrancesco (John), Christine M. Rose (Jason), William A. Gordon and James Gordon, II; and five great-grandchildren, McKenzie, Joshua, Maegan, Mason, and Ayden.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm on Wednesday, September 7, 2011 at Kellum Funeral Home, Rosewood Chapel. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday at Rosewood Memorial Park. You may offer condolences to the family at www.kellumfuneralhome.com.
