Mary Ellen Waters, 66, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 23, 2010. She was born on January 12, 1944 in Seattle, Washington. For Mary her family was everything. She loved to read and tend her garden and she was a child care provider for many years. Mary was preceded in death by her father William Earl Bazemore.
Left to cherish her memory is her devoted husband of almost 48 years, Robert E. Waters, Sr., of Norfolk; daughter, Merry Elizabeth “Beth” Waters-Cantrell and husband Joshua of Hampton and son, Robert “Rob” Waters, Jr., of Norfolk; grandson, Caleb Sebastian Waters; mother, Regina DeFelice of Seattle Washington; a special aunt, Patricia Port of Portsmouth and cousin, Paula Kendros of Maryland and a host other loving family and friends.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 27, 2010 from 7 – 9 PM in Rosewood-Kellum Funeral Home, 601 N. Witchduck Road in Virginia Beach. A graveside service will be held on Friday, May 28, 2010 at 2 PM in the Chapel of Serenity Mausoleum at Rosewood Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested memorial donations be made to the American Cancer society, 2730 Ellsmere Avenue, Norfolk, VA 23513 in Mary’s name.
