Mrs. Wood was preceded in death by her parents William and Harriet Black and her husband John Preston Wood and three brothers Alex, Matt and William Black. She was a member of Calvin Presbyterian Church in Norfolk.
Survivors include a daughter Helen Wood, a son Pete Wood; granddaughter Christine DiPietro-Scott and husband John; and a brother John Black.
A graveside service will be held Friday, June 20, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Rosewood Memorial Park, 631 North Witchduck Road, Virginia Beach, Virginia 23462.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Foodbank of Southeastern Virginia.
