Nancy Evelyn Harrington

Nancy Evelyn Harrington, 85, passed away on June 18th, at her home in Norfolk, VA. She joined her beloved husband of 41 years, Harold James Harrington, who passed away on June 17th. Nancy was born on January 17, 1940, in West Virginia to the late Richard and Selena Carroll. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Harold Harrington; brother, Ronnie Carroll; sisters, Sharon Willis and Karen Legg; and nephew, Craig Willis, all of West Virginia.

Nancy loved to talk about her time living in France and all her travels. She met and married the love of her life, Harold James Harrington, on March 23, 1984. They remained devoted to each other for 41 years until their passing. Nancy’s passion was working in her yard alongside her husband. She loved being outdoors and working with her hands. More than anything, Nancy just loved meeting and talking to new people. She always introduced herself as a Little West Virginia Mountain Woman. She loved those mountains, and hopefully she’s now looking down on those West Virginian mountains, that she so dearly missed.

She is survived by her niece, Kimberly Legg; nephew, Carl Legg, Ryan and Bryin Carroll; and sister-in-law Sandy Carroll, all of West Virginia.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday, June 24, 2025 at Rosewood Memorial Park, 631 N. Witchduck Rd in Virginia Beach, Virginia.
