Mr. Franz was preceded in death by his parents, Norman J. Franz, Sr. and Mary Francis Loux Franz and a son, Joseph Franz.
Survivors include his loving wife of fifty years, Carolyn R. Franz, four children, Timothy Franz; Christopher Franz and wife, Jenna all of Warner Robins, GA; Eric Franz of Valdosta, GA; Lisa Prince and husband, Douglas of Newsoms, VA; a brother, David Franz and wife, Bonnie of Ogdensburg, NY; five grandchildren, Colby, Christine, Catlyn and Joseph Franz and Hunter Prince, mother-in-law, Violet Rae Smith and a nephew, Thomas Franz.
The family will receive friends on Monday, April 11, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Rosewood Kellum Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, 11 a.m. at St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Rosewood Memorial Park.
