We are so sad that you left us so early in life. Little did we know that visit in last January to see my Dad would be the last. We will miss your cheerful smile and kind heart. Many prayers for Saundra and family-We are so sorry to hear about Phillip and to let you know how much we enjoyed square dancing with him.  His sweet smile will be missed.  Hope that we will continue to see Saundra there to help support her now.

Deepest sympathies to Sandra and Phillip’s children and siblings. As I read the sentiments of Messers Ali, Persaud and Cheong, I do recall the quiet and friendly demeanor of Phillip albeit, I was a younger chap then they were.
In his transition, I wish him godspeed and a restful place  at the right hand of our lord. Thank you for the memories of those memorable days at RBC, Georgetown.

It is with a heavy heart and tears in my eyes that I sit here processing the passing of my childhood friend, Philip or "Bourne" as I used to call him.  Philip and I grew up in Kitty and attended Walker's Under 12 school in Barr Street directly across from his house.  Our friendship continued when we joined the Royal Bank in Georgetown in 1969.  Those formative, young adult years, '69 through '72 were revelrous, rebellious and filled with youthful exuberance. Philip was a "gentle giant," and a dependable friend with unquestionable fidelity. He was a good listener and his calming presence is what I remembered most as I reflect on our close friendship during those years. His congenial, quiet and unassuming nature, at times, masked his propensity to have fun and merriment.  I have this image of Philip leaning against a skittles cue stick with a beer in one hand while humming and tapping to the music from the jukebox as I attempted my shot.  Those were good times!! Philip, you will never know this, but your name always came up  whenever I recalled stories of my youth to my family and friends.  Thanks for the memories old chum.  I will remember you fondly. May You Rest Pain Free and in Peace Eternally🙏🙏.
My wife, Claire (Conyers, RBC, Broad St.) and I would like to offer our deepest condolences to  Sandra, her children, grandchildren and the entire Bourne family as they mourn the loss of their beloved Philip.

I remember Philip as a close friend and a great hang-out buddy during the heady and carefree days of our youth in Georgetown Guyana. Philip was known for his calm and unflappable demeanor, cool and laconic with a dry wit and a sometimes sardonic smile that was both gentle and mischievous. After most of us migrated to foreign lands , I unfortunately lost close contact with Philip but we did meet again some years ago at a mini-reunion in Maryland , where we had a fun time reminiscing about the good old days of our younger selves in Guyana . Philip has transitioned to the  great beyond way too soon in my view , but I am sure he made the best of his life with his family, friends  career and community and he has departed on his last train out of this world with no regrets and his head held high as always. Philip you are gone but certainly not forgotten . So long, farewell, my friend, until we meet again on the other side.

Finally, I wish to offer my deepest condolences to his wife Sandra and the rest of his family.

Philip was a good friend & like a brother.  We met during our formative years at Royal Bank in Georgetown Guyana. Along with other friends who worked there, we hung out together, all young men with a zest for life.  We were all close enough that we knew each other parents & other members of the family.  We became closer while we worked at the Linden Branch & lived in the same Bank’s Bachelor’s Quarters (BQ).  I could tell stories about those years but there’s not enough room here.  Suffice it to say, we enjoyed ourselves & a lot of fond memories are still fresh with me. Of course life is in constant motion & we all got married & moved on making contact a seldom occurrence.  We did have a great reunion by Michael Agostini sometime back as members of ‘old side’ got together to reminisce & celebrate our brotherhood.  Throughout all these times, there was one trait about Philip, nothing seem to bother him.  
I was looking forward to seeing him sometime in Virginia Beach but alas I have to rely on those fond memories. 
To Sandra & their children as well as his brother Michael, my heartfelt condolences.  RIP Brother.
Life is a journey & while it has to end, it’s the journey that matters in the end.

I remember Philip as a great friend when we were young men.  We had lots of fun times together and great camaraderie .  He was a towering presence with a gentle and unassuming nature, quick to smile and to bring a smile.
Like many of our friends we dispersed to widely distantly separated place as we took life’s paths.  But whenever old friends mentioned his name or he came to mind in a chance memory it was always with fondness.   
I know Philip will be sorely missed.  My deepest condolences to Sandra and the entire family.
