In 1964, Bob became a Day One Driver for UPS when the company expanded its service into the Norfolk area. Over the years, he built lasting connections while delivering in downtown Norfolk before transitioning to a feeder driver role. After 30 years of dedicated service, Bob retired—though he wasn’t ready to stay off the road for long. He spent the next two decades behind the wheel for Gallop/Venture Bus Companies, proudly driving the Lady Monarch Basketball and Soccer teams, along with many other groups who affectionately knew him as "Bus Driver Bob."
Bob’s warmth, kindness, and unwavering dedication to his work and family will be deeply missed.
A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, February 15, at Rosewood Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association in Bob’s honor.
