Virginia Beach - Robert Leroy Harrison, 83, passed away Dec. 1, 2014. He was born Oct. 4, 1931 in Farmington, NY to the late Fred and Elizabeth Louise Harrison. Bob proudly served his country in the US Navy as a CWO4, retiring after 28 years. He was a mason of the Princess Anne Lodge No. 25. Bob was also actively involved in many masonic organizations including Shriners, Eastern Star, Scottish Rite, and the Tall Cedars of Lebanon, just to name a few.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 49 years, Geraldine Harrison; daughter, Patricia Bandy of Va Beach; son, Robert Harrison Jr. of Idaho; step-children, Wanda L. James of Va Beach, Wendell R. Lee of Maryland, and Debra Morgan of Georgia; 14 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his sister, Ruth.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 4, 2014 at Rosewood Kellum Funeral Home, 601 N. Witchduck Rd., Va Beach. A service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, Dec. 5, 2014 at St. John’s Baptist Church, 2300 Holland Rd., Va Beach. Burial will follow in Colonial Grove Memorial Park.
