Robert E. Waters Sr. Norfolk - Robert Earl Waters Sr., 72, went to be with the Lord on Friday November 8, 2013. He was born in Norfolk, Virginia. Family was everything for Bob who was a retired Marine, loved the Redskins and retired from Route sales with Alsco Inc . Bob was proceeded in death by his loving wife, Mary Ellen. Left to cherish his memory are his daughter Merry "Beth" and her husband Josh Cantrell of Hampton, his son Robert "Rob" Waters of Norfolk, grandson Caleb Waters and his niece Debbie Schaeffer as well as nine brothers and sisters; Irene, Maxine, Ella, Mary, Linda, Terri, Carri, Melvin and Jim as well as a host of loving family and friends. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, November 13, from 6 to 8 p.m. in Rosewood-Kellum Funeral Home, 601 N. Witchduck Rd in Virginia Beach. A graveside service will be held on Thursday November 14, at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Serenity Mausoleum at Rosewood Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers the family has requested memorial donations be made to the American Cancer Society , 2730 Ellsmere Avenue, Norfolk Va 23513 in Bob and Mary's name.
