 it's hard to believe it's been 3 years since Steve went to be with the Lord. When I think of him I think of that beautiful smile of his that could light up a room. You are always in our hearts my gym son!

I wanted to share a conversation I had at the gym with Steve  I was telling as a parent I believed his parents must be very proud of  the man he was. Always treating people with a kind heart, his close relationship is with God, and how much he loved his be family. Very close to his sisters. He said to me that he gave all by the credit to his loving parents. He said he was the man he was because of  them. The love and support they always gave him. I told him that was the most beautiful thing a child could ever say about their parents.  That always touched my heart. I just wanted share that with the Smith family he had so must love and respect for you all.
When I think about him that young man still puts a smile on my face.

Prayers to the family, Steve was a helper, nice guy.  He will be missed.

May the Lord hold you dear during your time of sadness and separation... until you are reunited in Heaven. Sending you love and prayers 💜🙏

Steve, Cathy, Stephanie, Chelsea and Family:
   I learned of Steven, Jr.'s tragic passing after returning home from two out of town business trips just recently.  But because I was staying with a retired VBFD Capt. while away, I heard of the motorcycle accident, but wasn't aware it was Steven Jr. who was involved until Mike Hussey told me upon my return.  Please forgive my delay, but this condolence, and the card I sent to you yesterday, are the first opportunity I've had to properly respond.  Having lost a 19 year old adopted son myself (Kevin) to a motorcycle accident in 1989, also not his fault, I know the sudden shock and heartfelt loss better than most.  My heart is breaking for you, and I look forward to attending the eventual memorial service honoring Steven when this pandemic allows.  In the meantime, my thoughts and prayers are with you and your whole family during your time of loss and sorrow.  May God bless and protect you and keep you in the palm of his hand and in His heart until you all meet with Steven again.

It was a little over a  year ago when our Grandbaby Lennox passed. I was full of questions and my pleas for his restoration went unanswered.  The only comfort, although honestly I wanted my will,  but choosing the knowledge and holding on to  the fact  that   our God is in control and He has a plan for each of us.  So many prayed, so many reached out.  But  the pain was so sharp that if not for my faith in God I would have perished.  The word of God is a pillar of our faith and strength.  Here is a verse that I pray will help.  
     " I look up to the mountains and hills, longing for God's help.  But then I realize that our true help and protection come only from the Lord, our Creator who made the heavens and the earth."  Psalm 121:2 The Passion Translation.

I am so sorry and saddened to hear about Stevie’s tragic accident.  I will always remember his beautiful smile and the twinkle in his eyes that he always had during his primary years at Windsor Woods ES.  It is obvious from the many posts of friends that knew him in his later years, he grew up to be an amazing man!  You are all in my prayers for continued strength during this very difficult time.  I am certain that Jesus has wrapped His loving arms around Stevie, so that he can enjoy eternal peace and happiness.

So sorry to hear I coached baseball at plaza many many years ago steve played on my team 2 seasons  with my son justin can remember always  Steve being Energetic he always wanted to pitch & show me his new pitch he was working on can always remember it was his knuckle ball would say not pretty would last about 2 batters then he was done but always has a smile on his face rest easy buddy 

We are so sorry for your loss.  It was so nice to have  Steven  in our 3rd and 4th grade Sunday school class.  You will be missed greatly.  Praying for the family.  

I cannot find the words to express how sorry I am for the loss of Stevie. I remember him when we all attended Suburban Christian  church.  I had him in my class.  I remember he was always  a happy fun  loving young boy.   I pray for Gods love and mercy to be with you and to bring healing to your hearts. Much love to you.

I only meet Steven one time but he was a wonderful young man . Steven made a lasting impression on me. I am so sorry for your loss and Steven will be missed by many .

      We are so sorry for the pain you must all be feeling now.   We just learned of this tragedy.  Our hearts go out to you as you mourn Steven.  He was awesome. 
       He was our dog, Peanut's favorite sitter (although Stephanie she loved you too).  Steven was always so good with our dog and especially so accomadating with us when we needed to travel.  He told us Peanut was the reason he got his own dog which meant we lost our sitter, but hey, that was ok.
        Steven was more than a dog sitter, he was a tremendous young man that was truly blessed by our Lord and Savior.  We will be praying for the Lord's comfort and strength until that blessed day you are reunited.  We can rejoice that even in pain and sorrow we have hope that is found in our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.-Love in Christ, Kathy & Dave

My sincere  condolences to the family, I worked with Steve at the old Cavalier on the oceanfront side  in the lounge. He was such a great guy, always positive and full of energy. I admired his enthusiasm for physical training, he was always very nice and accepted everyone with no prejudice. He only worked a couple of days a week but I looked forward to seeing him, he was a very handsome man and he was funny!  We were friends on Facebook and commented on each others posts and I always wanted to go see him at his latest bartending gigs but sadly never did. I so wish I could've seen and talked to him sooner, he had a good heart and soul. He will be missed!

Steve was my person. We worked together at anytime fitness for years. Always so full of life. Then a few years later I hired him as a bartender. He was always the life of the party. Corny jokes or not . He was like a son who always had a great insight on life. I listened. He was a trainer, bartender, therapist.  Steven, u will all be loved and very missed.  Prayers right your family. Way too soon ❤️❤️❤️

We are so sorry to hear about Stevie.  We are privileged to have known the Smith Family in various forums.  The love you have for each other has forever been strong.  Stevie was always so full of smiles:  from being the goofy kid brother and into sweet unclehood.    We mourn for the void that will forever be undeniable but hope you can find warmth in Stevie's memories.  As Pooh Bear says, "how lucky you are to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard".

I am still in shock Stevie!  You always had a smile on your face, always nice to have a decent conversation with except when playing a match on the pool table. We have never met Stevie, we have only met his sweet sister,  Stephanie, but I'm sure Stevie was a great guy.  I wish we could have met him, but we will one day. Steve was one of the brightest lights I’ve had the honor to know and see in an otherwise dimly lit world. He always had a smile and brought joy to anyone he met, especially when he recognized they needed it. He had a rare magnetism and spark. He will be sorely missed and fondly remembered. I will always love you like a lil brother Stevie. Your selflessness and kindness will live on as an example for generations to come.

In the gym and out of no where you walk in. And before I can say anything you always said, "Jermaine?!!! Alright alright alright alriiiiiiiight," and then walk up to me and did our secret hand shake...lol 

I will always remember our in gym talks and even our outside of the gym talks. 
The one time you prayed with me because I so depressed and told me "BEAST. Leave it at the gym,"

The last time we talked I told you I was working on being certified. Well big bro I am. Matter of fact an Elite Trainer working on my Masters. 

This is hard to understand. But God gets the glory out of everything. Even the things we don't understand.

Stevie was such a great guy, i met him at Princess Anne High School . Me and him bonded from our love with the Philadelphia Eagles , and Rocky Balboa, and  spent many nights drinking beers and playing beer bong . He was the only person i knew who loved Rocky as much as me . When he was working at food lion on Military highway i saw him , and we talked for a few about hanging out . Never thought that would be the last time i ever saw him . Such a tragic loss to such a great person . Prayers for the Smith family. He will be missed very much .

Man this is so hard to even comprehend. To think i just talked to u a couple days  before all this happened and never thought this would ever happen to such a great guy with such a loving heart but i guess God had other plans for you my friend, you never know maybe God has  motorcycle he needs fixin or a pool table he needs help playing on ❤. Rest easy my friend see you on the other side.

I never met Steve, but his parents are dear friends of mine and I cannot fathom what they are going through. May their faith and friends get them through this trying time.

 My husband and I met Steve about 8 years ago at a gym we belonged to. He became my personal trainer and soon became a dear friend to us.  He always would make me laugh not to mention he would suddenly start singing while we were training. We always joked him about being our gym son.
He was smart and truly cared about people. Steve had such a magical smile and a big heart .To know Steve was to love Steve.

Steve was a loving and compassionate young man. I had just talked to him on the 10th of this month. I said how are you doing at work with this virus going on here. He said I am actually doing great. I love my job here.They are so nice to me. Then he said,how are you aunt Jackie? I said I am doing good. That was the caring young man he was with his family and friends.  It was an honor for me that I  got to know him and be his friend. I know he is with Jesus and his grandad and his grandpa and grandma Smith now.I  will miss you my dear friend. Love you,aunt Jackie
