

The son of Edmund and Carmen (née Jordan) Blanchette was born on December 18, 1949 in Bronx, New York. Villon graduated from Samuel Gompers Vocational and Technical High School in 1967 where he was trained to be an electrician. After graduating, he started his first job at Con Edison. At the age of 19, Villon began working for New York City Transit Authority which he retired from after 31 years. He then went on to work at Stony Brook University Hospital on Long Island NY until August of 2006.
Villon married his bride Joyce (née Cunningham) 50 years ago on June 24, 1973. They moved to Rosedale NY where they welcomed three daughters. Villon and Joyce later moved their family to Long Island NY then officially retired in Virginia Beach VA.
Villon loved spending time with his family and friends. He also enjoyed good food, the beach, listening to music (rhythm and blues, jazz, gospel, and classical), riding motorcycles, playing chess, reading, watching movies, studying the Bible, and attending church.
Villon is predeceased by his parents Edmund and Carmen and brother Heathcliff Blanchette. He is survived by his wife Joyce; three daughters: Thesha Bove and husband Jason, Krista Blanchette, and Lynn Blanchette; two grandsons: Quinn Blanchette Thompson and Enzo Blanchette Bove; and many brothers and sisters-in-law, nephews, and nieces.

Villon's Celebration of Life will be at 1:00pm on Friday, September 29th at Rosewood-Kellum Funeral Home (601 North Witchduck Road Virginia Beach VA 23462).
