Zillah Ann Freitag

Zillah Ann Freitag, 73, peacefully went to be with the Lord on June 18, 2011. She was born on July 14, 1937 in Philadelphia, PA., the daughter of the late Charles and Anna Lunkenheimer. Zillah was an awesome wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She was deeply devoted to her family and always put them before herself. She enjoyed crafting and cooking; especially for her family. Zillah was a member of the Fraternal Order of The Eagles Auxiliary and St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church in Virginia Beach. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 48 years, Edward J. Freitag. Zillah will be missed deeply by her family and friends.

Left to cherish her memory are her children; daughter, Barbara Ann; sons, Edward, Charles and wife Brenda, Albert, Joseph and wife Denise, William and wife Dawn, and Robert and wife Michelle; 10 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren; sisters, Barbara and Peggy and numerous other loving family and friends.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 PM on Tuesday, June 21, 2011 with Eagles services beginning at 6:30 PM in Rosewood-Kellum Funeral Home, 601 N. Witchduck Road, Virginia Beach, VA 23462. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, June 22, 2011 in St Gregory the Great Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Rosewood Memorial Park in Virginia Beach. The family has requested in lieu of flowers memorial donations be made to the Fraternal Order of The Eagles for the Heart Association of your local SPCA in Zillah’s name.
