Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Chester Harding and Ruth Frances ( Gains ) Rich.
Geraldine was an operator for the former Bell Atlantic, currently Verizon Communications, for over 20 years before retirement. She was a member of the IBEW local 2323 in Cranston. She was also involved with the Telecom Pioneers, consisting primarily of actively employed and retired employees in the telecommunications industry, making it one of the world's largest corporate volunteer organization. Pioneers volunteer more than ten million hours annually responding to the individual needs of their communities throughout the United States and Canada.
Geraldine is survived by her children, Robert G. Beaudoin, Jr and his wife Katherine of Johnston, Cynthia L. Violante-Lacey of Cranston, Gary S. Beaudoin and his wife Tammy of Warwick. Her beloved grandchildren, Dereck S. Violante, Jason J. Violante, Michaela M. Vickers, Jamison R. Lacey, Chelsea Beaudoin, Alexander W. Lacey and Fabiola Beaudoin. She also leaves 7 great grandchildren and her sister Leslie C. Rose of Smithfield. Geraldine also leaves many nieces and nephews as well as extended family.
She was mother of the late Joseph N. Beaudoin and sister of the late Chester H. Rich III, Warren L. Rich, Alan C. Rich, Stephen G. Rich, Gregory J. Rich, Margaretta L. Cayer, Roberta V. Marlarkey, Dorothy J. Owen, Janice H. Epstein, Gwendolyn A. Venditti and Ruth F. Bood and Priscilla E. Rich.
Her Funeral will be held Saturday, October 1, 2022 at 8:30 from the Russell J. Boyle and Son Funeral Home, 143 Centerville Road, Warwick followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in St. Bartholomew Church, 297 Laurel Hill Avenue, Providence. Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
