Born in Providence, she was the daughter of Robert P. Nichols and the late Maureen A. (Desmarais) Nichols.
Kerri loved beauty and fashion, and began a career as a hairdresser. She then earned a degree in finance and worked in several capacities in the banking sector.
Kerri loved to spend her days boating with her family, travelling, especially to Aruba, and long distance running, having completed the Boston Marathon. She also loved horseback riding, and all animals. Anyone who knew Kerri would joke that she is a real life ‘Barbie’ – whether it be her fashion, makeup, hairstyles, and of course everything pink and sparkly. She truly lived by her motto, “living my best life”, by making every day count and enriching the lives of all who knew her.
Kerri was a kind and caring person whether it be through her friendship or by simply bringing food to a loved one’s home. This caring nature that she demonstrated throughout her life carried over after her passing. Kerri was an organ donor and through her donation will better the life of someone in need.
Besides her husband, daughter and father, she is survived by a brother, Robert E. Nichols and his wife Elly, a sister, Katie L. Nichols and her husband Christian Lamothe, niece and nephew Madison and Tyler Nichols, and many aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends. She also leaves her cats, Stella, Gizmo and Big Foot.
Visitation Monday, 4 – 8 pm. Funeral Tuesday at 9 am with a service to follow at 10 am at the Russell J. Boyle and Son Funeral Home, 142 Centerville Rd., Warwick. Burial in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Providence.
