Therese L Desmarais

Formerly of West Warwick, Rhode Island, Terry was a 1957 graduate of Our Lady of the Mountains Academy in Gorham, New Hampshire. She had numerous interests and hobbies, including canasta, dominos, cornhole, and slots at the casino. She was a diehard Tom Brady fan and served as a volunteer at Atrium Hospice. She also worked alongside her brother, Normand, at the “Chick n Pick” Restaurant and Red Rooster Tavern in North Kingstown, Rhode Island.

Terry is predeceased by her husband, Raymond A. Desmarais; brother, Normand Leclair; and stepsister, Sylvia Coit. She is survived by her children, Raymond A. Desmarais, Jr., Donna L. Bovi (Joe), Normand G. Desmarais (Lisa), and Rose B. Black (Dennis); Proud Memere to her grandchildren, Raymond III (Jennifer), Chris (Mimi), Nick, Maddie, Cassandra (Omar), Katie (Jeff), Brianna, Nathan, and D.J.; great grandchildren, Caleb, Ellie, Alex, Matt, and Kellen; sister, Lorraine Levesque; and stepbrother, Paul Ouellette.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, December 1, 2023 at 11:00am. in Christ the King Church, 180 Old North Road, Kingston, Rhode Island. Burial will follow in the Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, 301 South County Trail, Exeter.

In lieu of flowers, the family ask that memorials be made to Hospice of Union County, 700 West Roosevelt Blvd., Monroe, North Carolina, 28110.
