

Vilma May Pompa, age 92, of Providence, Rhode Island passed away on Saturday, April 30, 2022. She was the beloved wife of the late Elio Pompa and adoring mother of Veronika Susan Alexander of Cranston.
Born in East Providence, RI she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Anna ( Tacelli ) Vittorio.
Mrs. Pompa graduated from Classical High School and worked for Coro in the jewelry district of Providence. Upon the death of her husband, Vilma worked at Dunkin Donuts on Smith Street in Providence for 28 years retiring in 2008. Vilma was beloved by her colleagues and customers due to her good humor, and her personal interest in them and their families.
Besides her daughter, she is survived by her sister Barbara A. ( Vittorio ) Sullivan of Warwick and her nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, especially her dear friend Margar " Mike " Mooradian of Johnston.
She was sister of the late Augustina M. Oliviera, Rita S. Lanzieri, Frank R. Vittorio and godmother of the late Michael Oliveira.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00am in Immaculate Conception Church, 237 Garden Hills Drive, Cranston. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Please be advised that the family is requesting that mask be worn.
