Barbara Townshend

She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 61 years, Harold Townshend; her children Michael (Darlene) Townshend, James Townshend, Diane (Craig) Vissers, Lori (Kyle) Butters; grandchildren Alicia, Jacquelyn, Krista (Dale), Courtney, Aja, Brittany, Sasha, Bryan, Jennifer (William), Colin, Riley; great-grandchildren Kennedy, Christian; her sister, Carol Colman; and many extended family and friends.

Barbara loved playing Bridge with her group she met with once a month. She also loved fishing, though her style of fishing consisted of letting the line float in the water while she enjoyed a book on the pontoon. Earlier in life, she loved to play piano. She was also involved in her church and her faith was very important to her. Most importantly, she loved her family and her family loved her.

Visitation will be held from 4 - 7 p.m. on Wednesday, June 10, 2020 at Kubiak-Cook Funeral Home - Wayland Chapel, 312 N. Main St., Wayland, MI 49348 with prayers of the Rosary at 6:30 p.m. A funeral mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, June 12, 2020 at Sts. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church, 159 131st Ave, Wayland, MI 49348.

In memory of Barbara and in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Sts. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church.
