I am saddened by the passing of  dear sweet Betty.  I've known Betty for 36 years.  I was privileged to have shared so many special and always fun times with her.  She was always happy and had a laugh that lit up a room.  Her devotion to Chuck and their children is an inspiration to all who knew her.  I can't tell you how much I'll miss her. I send all the family my love and deepest sympathy.   What a blessing to know she is free and happy at this moment in the presence of our Lord and reuniting with so many who have gone before her. To Betty family - I just read about her passing and I'm so sorry.  Your family is in my prayers.  Betty took me under her arms when working at FCM.  I remember taking her home on Martha street during the winter, it wasn't fun, since the road was slick and I had a stick.  The time she and Vicki came up after my daughter was born.  How Chuck would ask for a piece of gum before work and asked her if she wanted back after work.  I thought of her through the years,  Betty will be missed.  Again, I'm so sorry. What a sad day for those that knew Betty Tolhurst.  We have been friends for at least 40 years and even tho we couldn't see the Tolhursts very often it was always important that we saw them on the times we came to Michigan.  Betty and Chuck were two of the kindest people and always willing to do whatever they could to help someone.    We are so sad that we are unable to be there with friends and family to say farewell to Betty but we know she is now without pain and that's the way we will always remember her, with a smile on her face.
