Big Frank Chrisman, age 66, of Wayland passed away Sunday, July 21, 2013 at Faith Hospice at Trillium Woods. He was born February 16, 1947 in Grand Rapids, MI to Frank and Virginia (Spino) Chrisman. Frank ran his own washer/dryer repair business in the Wayland area for many years. He was known for his generosity and free spirit. An avid Harley Davidson rider, Frank found the helmet law too restricting on his freedom and fought to have the points associated with the ticket removed, in which he was successful. He will be dearly missed by: Children Holly (David) Chrisman, Frank (Connie) Chrisman III, grandchildren Corrina, William and Morgan, life partner Mary Chrisman, siblings Etta (Ben) Lewis, Tom (Jeanne) Chrisman, Steve (Judy) Chrisman, Deb (Alida) Chrisman, along with many nieces and nephews. Frank was preceded in death by his parents. A time of remembrance is scheduled for Thursday, July 25, 2013 at United Church of Wayland, 411 E Superior St Wayland, MI 49348 starting at 4:30pm. A Celebration of Frank's life will begin at 5:30 pm at the church. Memorials in Franks name may be given to Faith Hospice at Trillium Woods, 8214 Pfeiffer Farms Dr SW, and Byron Center, MI 49315.
