Gordon James Welch, Jr., age 52, passed away unexpectedly, Tuesday, February 26, 2013, in Gilbert, Arizona. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Harold and Myrtle Welch and Leo Greeley. Jim will be lovingly remembered by his children, Amber (Phil) VanVolkinburg of CT, Cameron Welch of OR, Tanner Bass of OR, Benjamin, Thomas and Brittany Welch of FL; his grandchildren, Kees, Jeremiah and Lief VanVolkinburg; his parents, Gordon and Bonnie Welch; his siblings, Barbara Welch, Brian (Elaine) Welch, Jeff (Becki) Welch of AZ, and Amy (Adam) Vincent; his grandmother, Frances Greeley; and his nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Tuesday, March 5 at Kubiak-Cook Funeral Services in Dorr, 4330 18th Ave. with visitation prior to the service beginning at 10 AM. Pastor Rick Christy will be officiating. Interment will be at Dorr Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the family to offset final expenses.
