Loren "Butch" J. Edwards

Butch Edwards, age 73 of Wayland, passed away at home with hospice January 2, 2014. He was preceded in death by his parents Melvin Edwards and Betty Welch and his sisters Margaret Hall and Phyllis Pintarelli and an infant baby boy. Butch will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 45 years Lois "Louie"; his children: James (Dawn) Edwards and Jodi (Chad) Wilcox; five grandchildren: Jimmy Jack Edwards, Andrew (Yvonne) Pardee, Garrett Wilcox, Hailey Wilcox, Jason Stanton and family, and Dan Stanton and family; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Butch was a Wayland High School Graduate and served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was a Hi-Lo Driver for Steelcase for over 33 years before retiring. Butch was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was a member of the Dorr American Legion and the NRA. Friends may visit with his family on Tuesday, January 6, 2015 at the United Church of Wayland from 11:00 AM-12:00 PM, where his funeral service will be held at 12:00 PM, officiated by Dr. R.J. Hronek, with military honors. Interment will follow at Elmwood Cemetery. Memorial donations in memory of Butch may be made to United Church of Wayland or Hospice of Holland.
