

He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Miriam. He will never be forgotten by his two beautiful daughters Emily (Randy) Berens, Katie (Jared) Geers; most precious grandchildren Sofia, Levi, Owen, Tori, Emma; honorary granddaughter, Destinee; and honorary great-granddaughter, Taytum; siblings Roger (Cindy) VanVolkinburg, Tim VanVolkinburg, Joyce (Jeff) Pintarelli, Terry VanVolkinburg; and many extended relatives and friends. There are absolutely no words that could express how grateful we are to our DaVito PD teams - they truly have been an extended family to us for 2 1/2 years.
Ron cultivated his natural talent for auto body work at an early age and soon it became his favorite hobby. Ron was a dependable friend and a man of integrity. In all of this, Ron’s faith sustained and inspired him. He was an active and faithful member of Calvary Church of Wayland, and worked with the senior high youth for several years.
Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. Thursday, May 18, 2023 at Calvary Church of Wayland, 304 S. Main St., Wayland, MI 49348. A funeral service celebrating Ron’s life will be held 11 a.m. Friday, May 19, 2023 at Calvary Church of Wayland with visitation from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to the service. Ron will be laid to rest at Elmwood Cemetery in Wayland, Michigan 1:30 p.m. Friday. All are welcome to attend. In memory of Ron and in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Wayland Area Ambulance or Calvary Church of Wayland - Quiz Team.
