Rudolph Cernia age 91, of Dorr went to be with the Lord, Wednesday, December 20, 2017. He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Mary; their children Joanne (David) Sokol, Diane (Daniel) DeCoster, Inez (Robert) Armbruster, Donald (Sherri) Cernia; grandchildren Amber, Ashley, Daniel, Caitlin, Nicholas, Cassidy, Joshua, Dylan, Julia, Kristin (Ken); great grandchildren Hunter and Terry; his sister Marija Cernia, sister-in-law Nada Cernia and nephew Zoran Cernia. Rudolph proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean War and was a longtime member of the Dorr American Legion. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at St. Mary’s Visitation Parish, 2459 146th Ave., Byron Center, MI. Burial will be at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. The family will receive relatives and friends from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, December 26, 2017 at the Kubiak-Cook Funeral Services, 4330 18th St., Dorr, MI with a Rosary at 7 p.m. The family welcomes memories and messages in their online guest book at www.kubiakcook.com.
