Russel J. O'Connor

Russel Jay O’Connor, age 62 of Belmont, went to be with the Lord, Saturday, August 4, 2018.  He was preceded in death by his parents Matthew and Ann O’Connor, step-mother Mae O’Connor and his brother Scott O’Connor.  He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Janice O’Connor (Weber) their children, Jennifer O’Connor, Steve O’Connor, Mark (fiancée Katelin) O’Connor, Joe (Carla) O’Connor, Tiffany (Matthew) Vaughn, Dan O’Connor; 11 grandchildren; his siblings, Donna (Paul) Burmania, Barb (Don) Thompson, Von (Phil) Chenier, Bonnie (Jim) Teunissen, Wayne (Judy) O’Connor, Dale (Terri) O’Connor, Cheryl (Ed) Davis; his brothers and sisters-in-law, Peg (Bill) Colter, Keith (Cindy) Weber, Lori (Tim) Jost, Shirley Weber, Kyle Weber, Ken Weber, Kraig (Wendy) Weber and many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.  The Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 am Friday, August 10, 2018 at St. Mary’s Visitation Catholic Church, 2459 146th Ave., Byron Center.  The family will receive relatives and friends Thursday from 2-4 pm and 6-8pm at the Kubiak-Cook Funeral Home Dorr Chapel, 4330 18th Street, Dorr, MI with a Rosary to be held at 3:30pm Thursday.  The family welcomes memories and messages in their online guestbook at www.kubiakcook.com.  Memorial Contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
