Warren "Tom" Smith

Warren "Tom" Smith, age 81 of Shelbyville, passed away Tuesday, July 15, 2014. Tom retired from Kalamazoo Public Schools in 1987 after 33 years of service as the Director of Transportation. He was preceded in death by his loving wife Mary Lou. He is survived by his children, Terri (Tom) McLaughlin, Thomas (Ronda) Smith, Tammy (Scott) Elders; 4 grandchildren, Bradley Elders, Jessica Smith, Kurt Elders and Rebecca McLaughlin; and his brother Bud (Sue) Dolhay. Tom will also be greatly missed by his faithful pets. A celebration of life service will be held 10 AM Saturday, July 19, at Kubiak-Cook Funeral Home in Wayland, 312 N. Main St., with visitation Friday, July 18, from 6 to 8 PM at the funeral home. The family welcomes memories and messages in their online guest book at www.kubiakcook.com.
